Selector Gee began his musical journey at the age of 15 as a box boy with Black Eagle Sound, eventually moving on to play with Sir Dees and then Unity Sound. Growing up in a household filled with the sounds of reggae and soul — thanks to his older brother and two older sisters — music was always a part of his life. His brother, who played with Fatman Sound in the mid to late ’70s, was a major inspiration.

With over 25 years of experience presenting radio shows and playing live, Selector Gee has built a reputation for delivering deep and soulful sets, focusing on roots reggae, revival, and classic soul. His passion for music has been the driving force behind his long-standing presence in the scene — and it continues to fuel his journey today.

Among countless musical icons, Dennis Brown remains his all-time favorite. The first record Gee ever bought was “Go Now” by Dennis Brown — for just 55 pence — and the love affair with the Crown Prince of Reggae has never ended.

Over the years, Selector Gee has played on numerous respected radio stations and still finds joy in every session, whether live on the airwaves or out in the community.
