RG Geegorankine, officially named Reginald Gordon, hails from a rich lineage of musical heroes, heroines, and passionate dreamers. Known by his musical moniker geegorankine, he gives credit to his late father — a popular sawist — who first introduced him to music through instruments like the violin and accordion. By age 10, Geegorankine had picked up the guitar, later adding the keyboard to his repertoire in his late teens.

A true bandmate and occasional bandmaster, he was most active on Jamaica’s vibrant hotel circuit along the north coast. He spent years performing at the Little Pub in Ocho Rios and formed a friendship with the legendary Jack Ruby. His journey has included close encounters with various artists, whether through his time at Jetstar Records, live music venues, or mentoring sessions.

While he appreciates all genres of music, reggae remains his spiritual and musical nourishment. Though new to radio broadcasting and the technical side of sound system culture, he embraces learning and growth. A seasoned bandman with a heart for people, Geegorankine is passionate about bringing joy, offering help, and building meaningful connections through music.
